When I was younger my favorite video game to play was Half-Life 2. The reason I liked
Half-Life it was a creepy science fiction game which I loved. One thing I really hated about the
Half-Life series is that they didn’t finish it instead they left it off with a cliffhanger 12 years ago.
At the end of Half-Life 2 Episode: 2 Gordon and the resistance stopped the Combine attack and
launched the rocket that closes the Combine super portal so they couldn’t get reinforcements. At
this time Gordon and Alyx are in the helicopter hanger and Eli is informing them in of the
Borealis and that they have to destroy it then Combine advisors attack the hanger killing Eli then
it ends. Since the Half-Life series ended with Alyx and Gordon going to destroy the Borealis.
The Borealis is an Aperture Science research ship that has a lot of secrets on that’s ship. My
adaptation will the third installment to the Half-Life series starting where Episode: Two let off.

“Half-Life 2: Episode Two storyline”
This website illustrated the key points that happened in Half-Life 2 Episode Two. I used this
website to get more information about what happened at the end of Episode Two. I’m using this
information to connect Episode Two to my adaptation because my adaptation is going to be
continuing off of it. The the summery on chapter “T-Minus One” said “Eli warns them both that
the Borealis must be destroyed, and then tells Alyx he loves her and not to look, as the Advisors
kill him.” This what I uses to explain what happens at the end of Episode Two.
“Borealis (Aperture Science ship)” This website I used it help explain what the Borealis is. “The Borealis is an Aperture Science research icebreaker of an almost legendary statureintroduced in Half-Life 2: Episode Two. It is implied that it contains an immensely powerful and dangerous secret, yet to be revealed.” The Borealis is so important because it’s has a lot of dangerous secrets.
